4.Who would be the audience for your media product?

For my media product my target audience would be males and females in the age demographic of 16-24 years old who are interested in the genre of music Rock, Metal, Punk and alternative and buy magazines on a regular basis (monthly). As this age bracket of 16-24 it covers mainly people who are students and therefore would fall into the buyer category of C/D.
I chose this age group mainly because they are more likely to buy a music magazine and be interested in rock music, and by targeting both genders it allows for a wider audience.

On my contents page the title will be located in the top left side of the page so that its easy for readers to locate it and it will be the first thing they see as its font size is going to be bigger than the rest.

I have decided to include next to the title a subscription section as this follows the codes and conventions of magazines.

underneath the title I have decided to include the website and issue number information as this follows the codes and conventions of a magazine.

I have decided to include up to 4 images on my contents page.

I have also included two columns which will consist of article names under the subtitles 'Special Features', 'Features', 'Monthly Features' and 'Follow Us On'.

The colour scheme I have chosen for this page is Black, Grey and Red.

For my double page spread I plan to include two images on the left hand side of the double page which would link to the article I have chosen "Can you keep a secret?" with one image of her in casual clothing striking the shh pose with her finger to anchor the title and in the second photo have her look like the rock chock similar to the front cover design.

I have decided to also include social media relating to the person the article is featured on because social media is very popular and on the rise, especially with younger audiences who this magazine is targeted at.

The title will be located at the top and will be in a big font so that viewers will immediately be drawn to what the article is about.

I have decided to do an interview article because when I did a questionnaire to my intended target audience the result was that they liked to read articles and interviews so that's what I am going to include.
